Coital Alignment Technique
This technique is a variation on the missionary position, adding intentional positioning to allow for more clitoral contact with penetration. Research shows that this added stimulation to the clitoris increases the possibility of orgasm for women.
Pairing clitoral stimulation with penetration is one of the four pleasure techniques that women report using to increase their pleasure and possibility of orgasm with penetration.
The Coital Alignment Technique (CAT) allows for both pairing and the optional addition of a pleasure technique called rocking.
Learn more about the whole clitoral network to better understand why these techniques work.
How to do this technique:
The woman lies on her back
The penetrating partner is on top
The partner on top moves themselves up slightly so that their pubic bone aligns with their partnerโs
The goal is for the partner on top to be farther up in position than a traditional missionary position
Next, rather than thrusting, grind or rock against each other to create friction. This allows the womanโs clitoris and pubic area to receive stimulating pressure from the partnerโs pubic bone as well as penetration.
This rocking motion produces slower and more deliberate pressure than a thrusting motion.
A few bonuses with this position:
For partners with a penis, this slow grinding reduces friction to the head of the penis and can allow them to last longer until ejaculation - thus providing the woman more arousal time in order to reach orgasm.
This position is available to all types of bodies
